Peacock starts Euro trip with UK, Ireland launches

DIRECTV’s much-delayed addressable ad system is headed toward “a full marketplace launch” in the September-to-December period. The ads, which the satcaster has been testing with partner Starcom MediaVest Group, originally were scheduled to start running last year on 25 of the most popular cable networks with almost 10 million DVR users. Instead, DIRECTV opted to try the ads on 25 channels in 25 markets “to get into the local marketplace,” spokeswoman Cara Brugnoli said.
