The Farmer’s Dog, the direct-to-consumer pet-food brand, received its first Emmy Award nomination Wednesday, joining fellow first-time nominee Dove as well as Apple and Squarespace among the hopefuls for best commercial.
The Farmer’s Dog was nominated for its 2023 Super Bowl spot, “Forever,” which was widely praised as one of the best ads on this year’s game—even winning the USA Today Ad Meter.
Apple placed four spots among the seven nominees. They include “The Greatest,” its brand spot about accessibility, and “R.I.P. Leon” for the iPhone—both of which won Grand Prix awards at Cannes Lions last month. Spots for AirPods and Apple TV+, the latter featuring Timothée Chalamet, rounded out Apple’s group of contenders.
