“Taco Bell’s actions are especially concerning now that inflation, food, and meat prices are very high and many consumers, especially lower-income consumers, are struggling financially,” the lawsuit states. A Mexican Pizza costs $4.99 and a Crunchwrap Supreme is $4.89, according to Taco Bell’s website.
Siragusa is seeking $5 million for Taco Bell customers who bought versions of the Mexican Pizza or Crunchwraps in New York state in the last three years.
Taco Bell, which is owned by Yum Brands, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
